ICW DIRECTOR
TITLE: ICW DIRECTOR

QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in child welfare and family services is preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or related field and must have three (3) years experience in social services work in public or private sector.
Must have comprehension and understanding of the basic principles of Indian Child Welfare and operation and evaluation of community social services program planning and direction. Must have basic understanding of legal terms related to deprived cases. Must have an understanding of tribal and state jurisdictions and possess the ability to work with state and tribal law enforcement and various other tribal/state entities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and organizes an Indian Child and Family Services program within the Kaw Nation Jurisdiction as described by the program goals and objectives.
- Continually assess the family service needs of the Kaw members and other Indian families living within the jurisdiction.
- Conduct/coordinates individual and family counseling as needed.
- Develops annual budget. Manages and operates Federal/State Grants maintaining compliance with each specific program.
- Acts as a liaison between Indian families and various service provider agencies.
- Represents the Kaw Nation in court cases involving Kaw Indian Children.
- Responsible for all programmatic reports to funding agencies and the CHAIR as required.
- Supervises and manages all staff.
- Requires being on-call.
- Must have the ability to perform Director level duties as well as carrying and maintain a case load.
- Perform any other work-related duties requested by the Director or Chair.
Must be able to pass a background check (no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for offenses relating to children), pass adjudication through BIA, and a drug test. You must possess a valid Driver’s License and be insurable. Failure to meet any of these requirements will lead to a withdrawal of the job offer or termination of employment.
Approximately 20% travel required for transport, court, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting. Requires a valid Pharmacy Technician license. Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have pharmacy software experience, ComputerRX preferred. Must exhibit the ability to recognize and use accordingly skills related to confidentiality issues. Must have the ability to answer multiple phone lines, multi task, and coordinate work efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for checking in all drug orders and placing into inventory on shelves and in the computer system.
- Respond to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions, and referring to pharmacist when appropriate.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
- Operate the pharmacy computer system including patient and pharmaceutical data input, report generation, and other reporting requirements.
- Supporting pharmacists by assembling, stocking, and distributing medications.
- Comply with rules, regulations, and procedures put in place by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the pharmacist.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have the ability to keep at least two (2) buildings clean and in an orderly manner. Lifting and bending may be involved on a continuous basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep assigned area dusted, vacuumed, and trash emptied, including windowsill and blinds. Do not bother anything or clean employee desktops. Do not clean or bother any computers.
- Wash windows inside on a periodic schedule. Outside windows will be professionally cleaned.
- Ensures that janitorial/housekeeping supplies are replenished.
- Clean and sanitize all bathrooms daily. Keep paper towels and toilet tissue stocked.
- Mop and sweep tile floors daily.
- Clean air vents on an as needed basis.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas and treat any spots on the carpet.
- Keep the parking lots clear of paper and debris.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and move freely without restriction.
- Report any problem that should require knowledge of specific training to repair or correct to Immediate Supervisor.
- Assist with/complete any other job duties that might be assigned.

CHILDCARE KITCHEN SUPERVISOR

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED. Three years’ previous experience in a Kitchen Supervisory role is preferred. Oklahoma Food Handlers Card acceptable or willingness to obtain the certification; Oklahoma Food Manager course preferred. Knowledge of what constitutes a nutritious meal and the proper amount of food to make that will cover the USDA guidelines per age group.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be insurable.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Kitchen Supervisor will pre-plan an appropriate menu for breakfast, lunch and snack per timeframe designated by Childcare Office Manager and/or Director. Responsible for preparing nutritional meals for childcare children in accordance with USDA regulations.
- Prepares requisitions and inventory for food and other supplies needed to maintain appropriate stock for meals and snacks.
- Cleans all equipment, utensils, and dishes in a manner necessary to meet or exceed Health and Sanitation standards.
- Ensures all equipment in kitchen is in working order, reporting dysfunctional equipment to supervisor.
- Prepares meals in a timely manner and ensures nutrition and sanitation standards are met as directed by Childcare Office Manager and/or Director.
- Assists with set-up and serving at breakfast and lunch times, cleaning after meals in classrooms and delivery of meals to school age building.
- Prepares nutritional sack lunches and snacks for field trips and other events.
- Must have verifiable history of managing kitchen staff and directing/assigning tasks and ensuring those are completed in timely manner as assigned.
- Completes any other duties assigned by the Childcare Office Manager, Director and/or Chair.
Must be able to pass a background check/adjudication through the Kaw Nation Police Department.

TITLE: Land Management Director

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Exposure to elements, walking long distances, and carrying equipment are required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in land resource management, biology, forestry, or a related field.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of biological, ecological, and environmental principles preferred. Knowledge of land management principles and techniques. Ability to plan, motivate, direct, and evaluate the work of land management employees. Ability to read, interpret, analyze, and use topographic maps, land surveys, legal property descriptions, and aerial photographs. Ability to use a computer and related software. Ability to operate a variety of power tools and equipment, including chainsaws, all-terrain vehicles, weed eaters, brush mowers, and pesticide sprayers. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, including detailed reports. Skill in basic carpentry. Skill in vehicle and small motor maintenance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develops, plans, and conducts on-site land management activities, including controlled burns, boundary demarcation, trail development and maintenance, according to the provisions of approved management plans.
- Maintain all equipment and supplies for land management, seek, implement, and monitor contracts for land management activities.
- Recruits, trains, and evaluates the work of land management employees. Is the team leader and develops and implements management plan activities, providing training as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a valid Driver License. BIA and/or CLEET Law Enforcement Certification preferred. Each officer should possess good communication skills and be in good physical condition. Weekend and nights required. Officers can not have a criminal background.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patrol Kaw Nation land, investigate, enforce, and cite or arrest violators of CFR, Tribal Law, and State and Federal laws and refer to proper authorities.
- Makes assigned, periodic inspections and patrols of buildings and property.
- Performs duties assigned by patrol checklist including an examination of all doors, windows, and gates and reports any irregularities to the Police Supervisor.
- Prepare complete and accurate reports with all of the facts.
- Report any fire, theft, or other dangerous or irregular occurrences to his/her supervisor.
- Record and report description(s) of person(s), license tag(s), and automobile(s) of unauthorized person(s) on property.
- Record and submit an accurate log sheet at the end of the each shift, which in addition to regular duties and irregular occurrences, records temperature and weather conditions.
- Testify in Tribal, Federal, and State courts when necessary.
- Serve court documents such as arrests warrants, search warrants, summons, subpoenas, and civil papers.
- Responds to request(s) for assistance on land under tribal jurisdiction.
- Provide back-up services when requested to Newkirk City Police and Kay County Sheriff’s Department.
- Perform any other responsibilities related to Tribal Police as assigned by the immediate/controlling supervisor.

- Certification/license by the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control.
- At least two (2) years of experience in general/family practice is preferred.
- CPR certification and valid driver’s license.
- Experience with Native American healthcare is preferred.
- No unresolved malpractice suits or complaints on file in any state of licensure.
- Knowledge of diagnosing and treating human injuries, diseases, and deformities.
- Familiarity with computerized medical records systems and computer literacy required.
Physician Assistant (PA)
- Master’s degree from an accredited educational program for Physician Assistants.
- Licensed in Oklahoma or an accredited state accepted in Oklahoma.
- Certification/license by the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control.
- At least two (2) years of experience in general/family practice preferred.

- Licensed by the State of Oklahoma as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification/license by the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control.
- National Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- CPR certification and valid driver’s license.
- Experience with Native American healthcare is preferred.
- At least two (2) years of experience preferred in clinical or public health settings.
- No unresolved malpractice suits or complaints on file.
- Familiarity with computerized medical records systems and computer literacy required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
All positions share the following duties and responsibilities, with some variation based on scope of practice:
- Provide medical care and services to patients at the Kanza Health Center, including physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, medications, and treatment plans.
- Document patient services and treatment plans in the RPMS Electronic Health Records system.
- Comply with all clinical quality assurance and certification requirements.
- Diagnose, manage, and treat illnesses and diseases.

2. The Teacher must promote the Kaw Nation Day Care Center in a positive way to parents and the community.
3. Responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans with continuous monitoring.
4. Must be willing to perform all duties inherent in a childcare setting.
5. Monitors children in the classroom and on the playground at all times. At no shall any child be left unsupervised.
Staff must maintain constant vigilance.
6. Must adhere to the Kaw Nation Daycare Policies and Procedures and Staff Handbook.
7. Must observe strive confidentiality regarding children, families and staff and will make parents aware of this policy.

Must be familiar with funding research, identification of potential funding opportunities, federal grant program organization, and reporting methods. Must be able to process and disseminate information to the Program Development Specialists and/or Director. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for proofreading grant applications prior to submission and recommending changes to Director.
2. Responsible for researching potential funding sources.
3. Responsible for maintaining/obtaining statistical information to use in support of grant applications and progress reports.
4. Maintain Grant Status Report spreadsheet.
5. Assist the Director in developing/maintaining the Program Development/Grants and Contracts policies and procedures manual.
