Healthcare for Native Americans

The Kanza Health Clinic is an ambulatory clinic that has been providing health care for Native Americans since its inception in March 1998. 

Who's Eligible

Our services extend to any member of a federally-recognized tribe by appointment only, and you must have a copy of your CDIB card.

What We Offer

The clinic offers services by a Physician, Physicians Assistant, and Nurse Practitioner. We also have a Diabetic and Dental Clinic, a Women’s Health Program, and an on-site pharmacy.

Appointment Times

Patients are seen Monday through Friday from 9:00 – 4:00. We reserve acute slots for same-day appointments. These appointments fill quickly, call at 8 a.m. on the day you need to come in.

All services provided by the Clinic are by appointment only. We do not take walk-ins.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
To keep your chart active, you must have a primary care visit at the medical clinic at least once every three years. To use dental services, you must be an established patient at the medical clinic.

Meet Our Doctors

Kanza Clinic doctors and providers deliver compassionate, accessible primary care for tribal patients, including wellness visits, acute care, chronic disease management, women’s health, and coordinated specialty support.

Jerry Pritchett, MD, DC

Dr. Pritchett began in health care as a teen aide, later became a respiratory therapist, then a chiropractor and physician. He now serves as Kanza Health Clinic’s Medical Director, bringing extensive pain management experience and a deep commitment to patient care.

Kimberly Hovsepian, PA-C

Kimberly brings decades of healthcare experience, starting as a medical assistant and surgical scrub tech in 1994. A physician assistant since 1998, she joined Kanza Clinic in 2015 and is dedicated to patient care, travel, animals, and conservation.

Better Health Care is Our Mission

Kanza Health Clinic is located within the Pawnee Service Unit, which encompasses Kay, Pawnee, Osage, Garfield, Grant, Noble, and Payne counties. When the clinic opened, it operated with five employees. Since then, it has grown to a staff of nearly 40 employees. We are operated under Indian Health regulations, policies, and are funded through the IHS compact.
